Ingredients
- 1 cup dried hibiscus flowers
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves.
- Add dried hibiscus flowers. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let steep for another 5 minutes.
- Strain through a fine mesh sieve. Discard the flowers.
- Let cool completely before using or storing.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
How to use it
Add a splash to champagne, stir it into lemonade, or use it as the base for a hibiscus margarita. The possibilities are endless!
